During his illustrious career, Edison dazzled fans and teammates alike, earning accolades across Nigeria and the United Kingdom. His on-pitch brilliance, coupled with his sportsmanship and character, earned him the nickname “Pele” among his peers, who saw in him the charisma, skill, and grace of the legendary Brazilian football icon.Edison’s career was filled with triumphs, marked by numerous awards and unforgettable moments. However, his journey came to an abrupt end due to a devastating knee injury that forced him into early retirement. For many, such a setback would have been insurmountable. Yet for Edison, it was the catalyst for a new mission. His love for the beautiful game remained undiminished, and he resolved to channel his passion into shaping the next generation of football stars.
Edison’s vision was clear: to establish an academy that would “catch them young” and provide budding footballers with the tools, discipline, and environment they needed to thrive. He sought to create a legacy by nurturing talent and inspiring young players to dream big, just as he had. Thus, Pele Football Academy was born, carrying not only the name of one of football’s greatest icons but also the nickname lovingly bestowed upon Edison by those who recognized his unparalleled passion for the game.

Biography of Edison Teberen
Edison Teberen is a dynamic individual whose journey reflects resilience, determination, and a passion for football and entrepreneurship. Born with an innate talent for soccer, Edison graduated from Delta State University and, in 2010, set out for the United Kingdom to pursue his dreams.
Upon arriving in the UK, Edison began playing football in local parks, where his talent quickly caught his attention. He soon joined Meridian FC, marking the start of his football journey. His skills on the field and relentless dedication earned him a reputation as a promising striker.
Edison’s trajectory took a pivotal turn when his close friend and skilled defender, Oluwatobi Jinadu, invited him to Southall FC. Oluwatobi, who had played in top leagues, had been called upon to help strengthen Southall FC and saw Edison as a valuable addition. After a series of successful trials, Edison joined the team and made an immediate impact, scoring two goals in his debut match. Despite missing several early-season games, Edison finished as the second-highest goal scorer in the league, showcasing his striking prowess.
His remarkable performances caught the eye of Hanwell Town, where he further displayed his pace and scoring ability. During this period, Edison met coach Ade Abayomi, who became a mentor and advocate for his skills. Coach Ade invited him to join his team in East London’s Tower Hamlets, recognizing Edison’s potential as a top-tier striker.
Unfortunately, Edison’s promising football career was cut short by a knee injury at the start of the season. This abrupt end was a significant turning point in his life. However, with the support and guidance of Coach Ade, who became a trusted advisor and family friend, Edison was able to pivot and explore new avenues.
Transitioning from football, Edison joined Securitas Security Services as a mobile supervisor, finding fulfillment in a new career path. His time at Securitas became a positive chapter, giving him the stability and support to plan his next moves.
In 2023, Edison’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Atlantix Global Resources Ltd, a business that marked his foray into the corporate world. Alongside this venture, his love for football remained undiminished. Drawing inspiration from his playing days and his nickname “Pele,” given for his resemblance to the legendary Brazilian footballer, Edison launched the Pele Football Academy. The academy is dedicated to nurturing young talent and imparting the skills and values that define his own journey.
Today, Edison Teberen stands as a testament to perseverance, adaptability, and the power of dreams. From a budding footballer from Delta State Nigeria to a business owner and mentor in the UK, his story continues to inspire those around him.
